The Dharma Wheel, representing the
Eight-Fold Path in Buddhism
Saṃsāra is a Buddhist concept of "the cycle of birth and death". It is a concept about how people crave pleasurable things and resist painful things from birth until death, and in doing so, perpetuate their own suffering and create unfavorable circumstances for their next cycle of birth and death. In Buddhism, Saṃsāra is in many ways the opposite of Nirvana... it is a cycle in which suffering begets suffering.

I'm not Buddhist. But this concept sure describes our world right now. I can't really do anything about it; trust me, I've tried. So instead, I'm just going to write about it. This blog is named "Saṃsāra Chronicles", as I will be chronicling the Saṃsāra of our world.

Once upon a time I felt like things such as conservative, liberal, and so on mattered, but now... now I feel like the only thing that matters is common sense, of which the world seems to be completely devoid. I no longer think I have the answers, but I think I may have finally found the questions. And as odd as it may sound, that comforts me.

I hope you find your own questions, and that they comfort you as well.
